If you want a clamp that will click shut and can be opened again.
You might like these. They are called "PVC Click Strap"

That makes the most sense to me - now that the outlet is in, wait until you get the charger and plug it in to find the best spot for a mounting bracket. Especially since those heavy cords can be tricky to position.

One note though... My electrician purposely mounted mine with a slight bend in the cord to create a tiny bit of slack. He said hot/cold temps in the garage can cause the cord to expand/contract slightly, and pull on the plug. I know the pigtail is only about a foot long so that seems unlikely, but worth noting, especially since it looks like the pigtail just slides into the EVSE.
Thanks! Point well taken.

Ended up switching over to chargepoint home flex due to the whole flex up to 48A aspect. Arrived a few hours ago, just got it installed. Hardest part was flipping the 14-50 outlet with those massive wires behind it (had it wired up to be able to switch over to 48A hardwired).

This just makes waiting for my car that much harder

Installed this myself. Not hard, but a bit of a learning curve. New 6 gauge wire. New 70 amp breaker.

Now all I need is an EV.

Just a note on rules of thumb with wiring

“Twelve-gauge wire is good for 20 amps, 10-gauge wire is good for 30 amps, 8-gauge is good for 40 amps, and 6-gauge is good for 55 amps,” and “The circuit breaker or fuse is always sized to protect the conductor [wire].”

70 Amps for standard 6/3 NM-B will exceed its rating. Should be a 50 amp breaker for 6 gauge giving in for length.

I will use the 30% tax break for my $800 electrician mounted 14-50 outlet to my garage. I'm not going to spend an additional $400 to get a 30% tax rebate; to me doesn't make sense.

You are correct if he ran romex wire. If he ran THHN in a conduit then :
#6 = 75 amps #8 = 55 amps
Let us know how you wired it .

As much as we have discussed breaker size - wire size - 14/50 recp - code.
Some are not correct with an install. They use to say "if the light comes on
with the switch everything is good" Just everyone be careful and ask
and post your questions. We all are friends here and there are no dumb
questions. Remember : If it charges doesn't mean it's wired correctly.

Do you get Eversource Program in every state? Perhaps I “might” have considered a Juicebox had I known about the Eversource Program BUT, I’m still NOT going to get a Juicebox now.

Actually, there is more to it than your rule of thumb. The type of wire and temperature play a role in wire capacity. As indicated in the chart below, since I used THHN copper wire, it can handle 75 amps.

FORD HOME INSTALLATION TIPS FOR LICENSED ELECTRICIANS

NEMA 14-50 OUTLET DETAILS • CIRCUIT BREAKER 50A – GFCI Recommended

FORD CONNECTED CHARGE STATION
CIRCUIT BREAKER 60A (Do NOT use GFCI breaker since internal GFCI is included and false tripping will occur)
I wish I had given these home installation tips to my electrician when my outlet was put in. Ended up I had to spend the money for a 50 amp GFCI breaker (I had a 40 amp GFCI breaker when he did the original job )!

AND at least he didn't have to replace the wiring; it is #6 gauge.

Yup aware as well, I should have basically asked first if you used a conduit with THHN. The flush wall mounted had me thinking otherwise.
