LOL Just over a tank in my Blazer. Not even 2 tanks of gas for our Raptor.
Yup, and it doesn't matter if you sold the car 5 years ago to someone out of state and bought it again from a guy who never registered it our of state. CA DMV will make you pay all of it or withhold your registration. Found that out the hard way with a GTO I sold and bought back.In California, if you don't pay the registration fee, and get popped for an expired registration, you have to pay a fine, plus the delinquent registration, plus any late fees. At a certain point, they can tow your car. And then the fees can really start adding up.
Misery loves company. Gas prices near us are $5.859 per gallon. 35 us gallons in an F-150 Raptor so $205 and change. My wife paid $7 per gallon in San Mateo or Burlingame a month or so ago before returning her rental car. I have an EV reserved for my late August trip to the Bay Area. All things considered, I don’t think it’ll end up being that much more expensive.LOL Just over a tank in my Blazer.![]()
Most gas prices in the Bay Area are around $5.60 to $6.30 a gallon. If she paid $7 a gallon, then it was one of the predatory stations near SFO airport that prey on people returning rental vehicles. We just filled up in SSF at Costco for $5.599 a gallon.Misery loves company. Gas prices near us are $5.859 per gallon. 35 us gallons in an F-150 Raptor so $205 and change. Rounding up, I think her exact words were “Close to $7 per gallon.” I dunno, i wasn’t listening … Just ask her. Most gas prices in the Bay Area are around $5.60 to $6.30 a gallon. Due to our different blend gas is always more expensive compared to most of the other states, but we do seem to have our fair share of tourist trap gougers when it comes to jacking up prices beyond what is reasonable. Mendocino & Gorda are really bad. Most gas prices in the Bay Area are around $5.60 to $6.30 a gallon. That would really piss me off ….Our registration fee are partially based on weight, so EVs trend higher. In addition there is a per mike fee to the road fund.
Why? ICE Cars pay it as well through gas taxes. More gas used means more wear and tear tear on the roadways. More mileage means more wear and tear on the roadways. You don’t get something for free just because you have sn ev.That would really piss me off ….![]()
There's a couple of stations near SFO that are easily 50 cents to a dollar more expensive than the Costco just down the street. Or even in the town I live in. Has nothing to do with the more expensive blend California requires. I'm used to that.Due to our different blend gas is always more expensive compared to most of the other states, but we do seem to have our fair share of tourist trap gougers when it comes to jacking up prices beyond what is reasonable.
