The Tesla data is based on the GOM, not actual range measurements. Also, comparing the 2 years is apples to oranges as there were several other changes, including battery size, dual pane windows, etc.....all affecting range. Comparing a BMW to a Bolt (again, not reading anything, just using...
I think I heard Farley hint in an interview a while ago that the T1(?) design had active aero. I wonder if we're seeing something like that in the picture.
If I wanted a disposable car I'd buy a Tesla.
As someone who loves their Mach-E I have ZERO interest in owning a car with "gigacastings" which can't be repaired, or having to replace a module when a turn signal stops working.

This. EREV has always made more sense for trucks; they made BEV pickups only because that's what the government was incentivizing (gas range > battery range = no tax credit). Great example of how government can sometimes impede real progress.
As for Hyundai, IMO they made a bet on BEVs...
Everyone gets all excited when they hear "up to 300% more efficient" but if you do the math it would only be a few extra miles on a longer trip over the course of a day....in exchange for more weight/complexity and less storage space. Im happy with the simple resistance heater in my car.
