You think this is bad, go visit one of the many threads about disabling the external speaker. The way some respond you’d think the folks who want a quiet car are advocating for genocide of all blind people lol.
Right. I’m not condoning or advocating for this. I just like dealing in facts. My investigation into the issue was driven by people baselessly claiming that Hands Free BlueCruise had more accurate Lane Keeping than Hands On BlueCruise due to the supposed “continuous mapping and remapping” of the...
A 2lb ankle weight, placed at top of wheel slightly off center, keeps a low profile and provides just enough force to trick the torque sensor without actually impacting your steering. As always, you’ve got to keep your eyes on the road, and I believe the eye sensor will nag you regardless? But...
Yeah, there is a ton of wasted space in ACP, and SYNC. Nest ACP inside SYNC and the wasted space gets worse. It’s too bad. But I trust the Apple designers a hell of a lot more than the SYNC designers.
Not just Ford. Aside from Tesla, I don’t know that I’ve ever driven a car without it. I may break down eventually and do it. Gah it just seems like such a pain.
Can either of you (or anyone else) point to a post or thread where anyone asked for this, ever? I haven’t found it. I frequent this board and never once saw it.
Until I see otherwise, this just wasn’t something the owner base was clamoring for - vocal minority or not. A one-tap trunk button has...
This is a bit of an oversimplification. The problem isn’t switching from a physical button to a touchscreen button - a touchscreen button on the Home Screen would be fine! The problem is that you first have to remember to first tap one little button to open Settings, and then hunt for the even...
After further testing, I’ve discovered the difference. The phone connection screen only pops up at start if ACP is your default app. Which I suspect it is for many people. If, for example, Ford’s native nav app is your default, it starts with that instead of the phone connection screen.
You...
There’s no reason ford can’t build a CUV on the UEV platform. They almost certainly will because it remains a very popular form factor. Then it just comes down to appearance and specs. The range, acceleration, charging speed, tech, not looking like a bubble, and value. Maybe they’ll call it...
Why indeed. I mean, I know there are rare instances where one might have to toggle phones… but why that would merit adding this button to the top ribbon is just ridiculous. And again, it isn’t just the button - now the phone screen greets you on every startup.
So here’s what you get:
1. All the stuff they list in the release notes. I guess the preconditioning in ACP is a nice plus, in winter.
2. You get a new pony startup and shutdown graphic. You’ll see it in the video below.
3. You get a new icon on the top ribbon to select phone. A feature...
I’m confused as to why anyone cares about the Mach E being discontinued in another 1 to 3 years. Please explain.
I mean, they’ve produced what, a couple hundred thousand in North America so far? So there won’t be a shortage of parts - either new or salvage - for the life of our cars, right...
