To be clear, if you are commuting 40 miles a day like I used to, I still think EV is the way to go. Now that I would only be driving it a couple thousand miles a year it doesn’t make sense for me anymore.
I’ve owned two Mach Es and loved them both. My work situation has changed (no longer commuting daily) so I would only be keeping it as a toy (I also have an F150).
One factor that pushed me over the edge is the ridiculous registration costs in Michigan. $507 for annual tags. EV penalties piling...
My 2023 extended range premium has been shooting off “high-voltage battery warning” and “powertrain malfunction.” Took it to the dealer and they said the car had to be wet (raining) out to diagnose the problem.
Well today it decided to die. Got the “stop safely” warning and it won’t go out of...
Thanks for the comments. I called the Ford BEV team and they said they would check it out. I need to travel for work today so moving the car around to a different dealer is not an option today. Just frustrating …
I keep getting the High Voltage Warning/ Powertrain Malfunction. Took it to the dealer and they said water must be getting in somewhere and they need it to rain. I said, “can’t you replicate rain with a car wash?” And they said “no, it has to be driven in the rain.”
Has anyone else heard of...
I rotated my tires this weekend and used my wife’s Ford Edge spare as my dummy tire as I went around the car. I was surprised how perfectly it fit.
I was also thinking about buying a spare for the Mach E and realized there are a lot of Ford Edge spares on ebay for $200.
I’m not a tire expert...
Yesterday when I got home from work and shut the car off and started to open the door, when I heard the frunk pop while the hatch started to open. I can’t figure out how I could have “accidentally” opened both at once.
Has anyone had this happen?
I have a 2023 AWD Premium with about 10k miles. I received the High-Voltage BatteryWarning and the Powertrain Malfunction/ Reduced Power warning. The message disappeared and I’ve driven the car two more times without reap.
My question is, I know 2021 and 2022 models have an issue that requires...
Every now and then Sync audio for calls, podcasts, etc wouldn’t work. My fix is to go into phone settings and disconnect and reconnect which seemed to fix it. Now this is happening 50%+ of the time. Anyone else seeing more of this and is there a permanent fix?
For those interested, I randomly checked the Ford site and saw my 12v charge was at 84%. I decided to remote start the car for 10 minutes. At the end it was up to 91%.
I had an issue with my 21 MME. I actually have a 23 model now. First time with this vehicle. I do not share passwords with utilities or Juicebox. I happen to use a Juicebox 40 but ai rely on the MME for smart charging.
I got the dreaded “battery drain” message for no apparent reason. I can only assume it had something to do with me connecting the car to home wifi yesterday. The good news is the alert appeared while I was home and time to charge.
But why not show the battery level in the app? How do I know...
I just got a similar message. The only thing I did differently yesterday is connect wifi to my house. Probably unrelated. Also, the car was plugged in waiting to charge when I got the alert. When I went to the garage it was humming like it was charging. ?‍♂️
