I don't have the update yet, but I have the same two-phone scenario and I think this will probably (?) be an improvement. Some are confident enough to proclaim "Nobody was asking for this," but I mean... I was. Like, specifically, I've said to people it would be nice if there was a button to...
Thanks. I didn’t notice a lot of sound or brightness change in the IPC when the center screen was set to -1 or -2, so I set it back to 0 and got what I achieved via the physical buttons to the lower left of the steering wheel, by the headlight controls. I’ll try to play with the two sets of...
Alright, after trying several more things I confirmed it’s the IPC. My car did not have a noticeable IPC sound when people were complaining about it the past few years, but either the software update for the recall in the fall or something degrading from the passage of time must have caused it...
Thanks everyone for the various thoughts. To those asking, we don’t normally turn off the heat, A/C or fans. We just did a couple times to verify that the sound wasn’t coming from running them. Though this time of year in Michigan (ever since the issue), it’s almost exclusively heat.
Not sure...
As it bothers my wife enough that she will not ride in it without headphones, as I stated in my post, it is much more than a non-issue.
If anyone else has something constructive to say, I would appreciate it.
I should add that she has a 2025 Mach-E (also Premium AWD), does not have the same...
Hi,
I have a 2021 AWD Premium, and in Nov/Dec 2025 I had a service appointment with my dealer, who sent a tech to my house to both replace my 12V battery and do an update for one of the recent recalls, 25S65. For the past 3-4 months since then, my wife has been intermittently bothered by an...
For anyone wondering, I decided to get the CC2s from Costco (cheaper than anywhere else I looked). Appointment isn't for a week and a half so I can't comment yet, but I'm sure they'll be great.
Thanks for the feedback!
Thanks for confirming on the brake part. I couldn't remember what it was, so it was hard to look up.
I try to brake gradually and don't think I'm slapping/slamming the pedal, but I'm not sure if I understand the question. I'm mostly just saying it as a qualitative feel that seems to have gotten...
Hi everyone,
My 2021 Premium ER AWD needs new tires now, and I've read various threads (https://www.macheforum.com/site/threads/recommendation-for-replacement-tires.38190/, https://www.macheforum.com/site/threads/oem-tires-nearing-replacement-suggestions.32534/...
Sorry, I misread your post. I believe they are the same thing. Almost all modern cameras (both dedicated ones and phones) use similar types of sensors as these, just in color instead of infrared. I assume it's taking continuous video of your entire face (and some of the surrounding area), and...
It checks your attentiveness to keep BlueCruise enabled if the car is driving itself, or if you have the setting turned on to monitor attentiveness in general. It's part of the steering wheel system above the horn area and is checking your eyes.
For me it disengages BlueCruise often by falsely...
I took my car to the dealer two days ago specifically to check the battery because it’s approaching 4.5 years old. They said it was fine, and I was skeptical and prodded, but they were insistent. Yesterday I got the push notification. I’m confused and frustrated how that happened. On the plus...
I have some of these issues - the biggest one being that audio sometimes doesn't work and I need to disconnect and reconnect my phone to CarPlay. Now that other updates are coming out, e.g. yesterday I got BlueCruise 1.3 finally, is there any way to know if other future updates will...
Interesting. I haven't been doing anything like that (re-entering the car, doing anything else that might disrupt charging). That said, Mach-Lee looked for any error codes for my vehicle, couldn't find any, and said it's probably the ChargePoint Home Flex - which has been known to have some...
My recalled one was replaced with an identical looking one with a different model number, and when I called Ford to confirm, they said it was just the ones in a specific window of time with specific model numbers that were problematic. I didn't get a Lectron one, and AFAIK everything should be fine.
For anyone curious, @Mach-Lee said there didn't seem to be anything in the error codes, so maybe it's the ChargePoint Home Flex itself. I looked at the car's charge point with a flashlight and didn't see anything weird, but didn't clean it yet. I also had already tried rebooting the Home Flex...
