Well okay... I thought it was still working...but I haven't tried it in years. Ever since you had to pull the car (or truck) over and come to a full stop to get it to open. I stopped using it way back then. I didn't know they actually removed it...I'll have to try it out tomorrow to see if mine...
Why would it not just automatically select the phone you got into the car with (assuming in this case that you're the only one who got into the car with just your phone). I mean if there's only one phone in the car...why would you have to pick from a list....?
My experience with this is...
I installed one of these two years ago because the MME 12V battery was such a PITA to get to. If I need to do a reset for some reason, I just press the remote to off, wait a minute or so, and turn it back on. Works great and doesn't adversely affect the 12V battery by discharging it or anything.
If I recall correctly this is referred to as a "Logic Lock" scenario. It's happened on Mach-Es and Lightnings both....and it's always fixed by disconnecting the 12V battery briefly.
I did get the GWM (gateway) OTA update on my MME that was the 'zero byte' update that was essentially a config change. This is the one that says it's getting the system ready for future updates. Nothing since, and nothing in my queue (or available software list either).
These are pics of my app...
I realize it's a PITA to get to..but have you tried disconnecting your negative terminal on the 12V battery for a few minutes and then reconnecting and trying again? That quite often resets the logic-lock situation.
The TSB does talk about a kit of foam strips to apply behind the mirror itself. Somebody on here used window screen rubber spline to fill the gap. You know, the rubber that holds the screen into the frame. Available from any DIY place.
My GT PE got a lot quieter when I switched to Falken Azenis...
I noticed the turn signal delay weirdness and put that down to the system letting the sequential sequence play out before starting over....it does sound a little odd. My available software list has been empty for months now so I kinda wondered when this turn signal thing started. Thanks for...
Perzackly.
Frankly, when I saw the pics I was stunned. I've never seen paint like that on a Mach-E. My car still has the open recall for the paint on the lower door edges that you can't actually see unless you open the door and look for it. And it is a bit wrinkled, but I haven't seen corrosion...
In the meantime..before you actually go get a new battery...it won't hurt to try a BMS learned values reset to see if you can get your 12V battery to charge up. Again, it won't hurt to try.
BMS LV Reset:
Without pressing the brake pedal, press the start button to put the vehicle in Accessory...
Yeah always check and clear codes first...and then after each update, do it again even if the tiles are green...they might not actually be showing the current status until you force FDRS to check again.
As a note; the 23 Job 1 cars that were BlueCruise equipped had a three year BC subscription baked into the final price. J2 cars had a three month free trial. That's why the prices were significantly different between say May and June of 2023.
AFAIK the GT PEs all came with these wheels as standard.
At least that's what I use as a visual indicator from a distance. If the owner has changed the wheels I check the seats.
Well I for one will sleep a LOT better tonight knowing that there’s extra space for the XM radio I don’t ever listen to. But on the other hand, I guess my successful installation of this OTA means they could actually send my car updates that would enhance and upgrade features, if they wanted to...
