BYD is rolling out "Flash Chargers" for the Denza Z90GT (and other vehicles to come) with 1,500 kW charging. 16,000 stations in China by the end of the year, plus 2,000 in Europe. Claimed 10-97% charge (450+ EPA miles) in 9 minutes; 10-70% in 5 min. Wired Magazine Article

WIRED Magazine (Not sure if this has a paywall; sorry if it does.)
Gist of the article is how viciously Tesla fanboys attack those Tesla owners who question anything about the company or its majority shareholder. It can get very nasty.
I have been grateful that we don't see much of that here...
Doubling the voltage: What 800 V architecture really changes in EVs (ars technica) (3/13/26)
For those interested, here's a nice, short article on 800 V systems v. 400 V.

It looks like it's going to be a nice car -- 400 kW DC charging, 400 mi. EPA range, 109 kWh battery, 473 h.p. -- all for around $60k, but geeze, didn't they learn anything from that heated-seat fiasco? I can't imagine having to pay to use a camera that is already installed in the car...

We Wirelessly Charged the Porsche Cayenne EV and Found Out Why the Charger Won’t Fry Your Cat
Solution in search of a problem. Maybe it's just because the tech is immature, but I don't see it.
It only charges at "up to 11 kW." After all, it can't charge any faster than that on a 240v 48A...
